"Pioneer of the year"

ViSiDA CEO, Lynnita Bergström, has received recognition in the form of an award called "Pioneer of the Year" in the northern most region of Sweden. Lynnita moved to Northern Sweden and has lived in that area for the past 25 years with her Swedish/American family.

The award, called "Årets Nybyggare" in Swedish is given yearly to a foreigner in Sweden who has during a relatively short period of time successfully started a new business.
The award is given by the Swedish organisation, ALMI, which works with businesses in the form of giving advice and risk capital, and acting as an incubator for start-ups.  

The motivation for the award is as follows: 

"Visida AB is an important participant within the field of occupational health, offering och delivering services which  increase health and safety within businesses and organisations. ViSiDA has shown a strategic and new way of thinking about how a business can be built and developed. They have accomplished this without risking profits and without compromising the vision that each individual has a unique value and worth. ViSiDA has been a model for female ownership and leadership and has focused on gender equality in all levels of the company, and has at the same time made the focus on saving lives in northern Sweden a priority!"
